The Solana ecosystem has been rocked by major news. DeGods (a popular NFT project on the network) have announced a shift to blockchains. DeGods will be able to connect to Ethereum in 2023 as they have confirmed via their official channels. Y00ts will move to Polygon.

A Major Step
This move will represent a significant shift in Solana’s collectibles market. It will also open up the NFTs to other networks. Users should be aware that the switch will have an impact on not only the NFTs but also $DUST, which is the utility token they are attached to. Frank III, founder of both collections, said that the decision was prompted by the desire to explore new opportunities within the NFT ecosystem.
It is also no secret that Solana’s year has been difficult due to multiple system failures as well as the effects of the FTX crash. While blockchains such as Ethereum can be more expensive for users, it might offer more stability and opportunities to the DeGods and Y00ts project. Frank III also stated that this migration will be opt in so people who are keen to continue using Solana can do so.
